It started with a bad bag of walnuts.

In 2019 Marek bought a kilo of walnuts from a supermarket in Petržalka for a Christmas cake. Half of them were rancid. The date on the bag was fine; the nuts had just been sitting in a warehouse for a year before that.

He started buying directly from a grower near Nitra, then almonds from Spain, then pistachios from a cooperative near Rafsanjan. Friends asked for bags. The shop in Eurovea opened in 2022, this website a year later.

We still work the same way: small lots, weekly roasting, clear dates on every bag, and we taste every delivery before it goes on the shelf.

Pack date on every bag

You see when we packed it, not just a distant expiry date. Most nuts are sold within two months of arriving.

Roasted here, weekly

Almonds, peanuts and pumpkin seeds are dry roasted in our own oven, in small trays, without oil or salt unless you ask for it.

Paper bags, not plastic tubs

Everything ships in kraft paper bags with a simple foil liner. Reusable glass jars are sold in store for anyone who wants them.

Nothing added

No sugar coatings, no sulphites on the apricots, no oil on the peanuts. The ingredient list on every bag is one word.

Each product page names the country, and where we can, the grower or cooperative. Ask us and we'll tell you the rest.

In store, everything is weighed to the gram. Online we offer 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg sizes so you don't end up with more than you'll use.

Packeta or Slovak Post to any address in Slovakia, or collect in store within two working days at no charge.

We weigh, pack and date it

Orders placed before 13:00 on a weekday are packed the same afternoon. You get a tracking link by email.

The walnuts actually taste like walnuts. I bake with them every week and haven't had a bitter one since I switched.

Ordered Tuesday afternoon, Packeta box on Thursday morning. The apricots are soft, not the leathery kind.

Good pistachios and the staff in Eurovea let you taste before you buy. I'd like to see cranberries in the range.

Questions we get asked

Raw nuts keep for about 3 months in a cool cupboard and 6 months in the fridge. Roasted nuts are best within 6 weeks. Dried fruit keeps 6 to 9 months. Each bag shows the date we packed it.

Yes, to the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary via Packeta. Shipping is calculated at checkout by weight. For other EU countries email us first and we'll quote.

Some are, some aren't. Chia, sesame and pumpkin seeds carry EU organic certification; walnuts from our Nitra grower are unsprayed but not certified. Each product page states which applies.

Yes. We supply several cafés in Bratislava with 5 kg boxes. Use the contact form and choose "Wholesale" and we'll send a price list.

All nuts and seeds are packed in the same room, so traces of tree nuts, peanuts and sesame are possible in any product. If you have a serious allergy, please contact us before ordering.
